Learn how to entertain with Edibles!

Event Details

Spend a delightful afternoon with your foodie friends who want to add some extra fun to their meals. Enjoy a lively luncheon with Chef Elliot Anderson as he speaks about edibles in food. Then horticulturalist and designer, Leigh McGonagle will guide you through a take-home demonstration on edible container gardening.

What to Expect

  • 12:00 – 1:00 pm – Lunch & Demonstration
  • 1:00 – 1:15pm – Break
  • 1:15-2:15pm-  Edible Gardening Workshop
  • 2:15-2:30 – Q&A Session
  • All materials will be included (lunch, drinks, planter, soil and plant)
  • Aprons & gloves provided
  • Please arrive 15 min early to allow time to get settled

Other Considerations

Coltivare is a beautiful restaurant near the heart of downtown Ithaca. We highly recommend you spend a little extra time to walk around the commons & shops nearby. Parking is available in the garage directly above the venue.

About the Instructor


Leigh McGonagle is the owner of Poplar Point Studio – a local fine gardening company that focuses on garden design, installation and maintenance. Her favorite thing about gardening is the satisfaction of creating beautiful living art (and the instant gratification of cleaning up garden areas!).  She has been in the industry for over 10 years and loves sharing her knowledge of plants & problem solving in the garden.

She spends her free time reading, taking pictures of flowers, performing with local music gigs and traveling.
